Job Description
The Program Manager will serve as the operational leader responsible for establishing and scaling a centralized services model supporting supply chain, quality, training, documentation, compliance, and operational governance activities within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
This individual will oversee multiple operational workstreams, lead cross-functional improvement initiatives, and partner with business leaders to create scalable processes, governance structures, and service delivery models. The role will initially focus on stabilizing existing operations and supporting critical business needs, then evolve into designing future-state operating models, driving process standardization, enabling automation, and building the foundation for long-term operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of pharmaceutical supply chain experience, operational excellence expertise, and program leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of transforming fragmented processes into scalable business solutions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
-Serve as the operational lead across multiple workstreams supporting training administration, quality systems administration, change management, documentation governance, supplier relationship verification (SRV), and compliance operations.
-Facilitate recurring governance meetings with quality, supply chain, external manufacturing, logistics, and operational stakeholders.
-Partner directly with business leaders to prioritize work, identify organizational pain points, and drive strategic initiatives.
-Monitor team performance, workload distribution, service levels, risks, and operational KPIs.
-Lead process improvement initiatives focused on increasing operational efficiency, reducing compliance risks, and improving user experience.
-Develop and maintain operational roadmaps, governance models, process documentation, and escalation frameworks.
-Assess current-state processes and identify opportunities for standardization across multiple business functions and regions.
-Design future-state workflows, operating procedures, and service delivery models to support organizational growth.
-Collaborate with training, quality, documentation, and compliance specialists to ensure consistent service execution and adherence to established procedures.
-Build executive-level dashboards and reporting packages that communicate operational performance, risks, trends, and recommendations.
-Coordinate onboarding of new sites, suppliers, external partners, and operational capabilities as business needs -evolve.
-Develop knowledge management frameworks and documentation repositories that reduce dependency on individual contributors.
-Evaluate opportunities for workflow automation, digital enablement, and future AI-driven operational improvements.
-Support business case development, resource planning, capacity forecasting, and organizational scaling initiatives.

Skills and Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Operations, Quality, or a related discipline.
-10+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
-5+ years leading cross-functional programs, operational excellence initiatives, PMO efforts, business transformation programs, or strategic operations initiatives.
Experience supporting one or more of the following functions:
Pharmaceutical Supply Chain
Cold Chain Operations
Quality Operations
External Manufacturing
Distribution & Logistics
Operational Excellence
-Demonstrated success driving process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
-Experience developing KPIs, performance reporting, and operational dashboards.
-Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
-Experience facilitating workshops, process mapping sessions, requirements gathering exercises, and strategic planning discussions.
-Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and regulated operational environments.
-Experience developing business processes, operating procedures, governance structures, and scalable service delivery models. -Experience developing or leading Shared Services, Centers of Excellence (COEs), Managed Services, or Operational Excellence organizations.
-Experience supporting global manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehousing, cold chain, or external manufacturing networks.
-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, PMP, Prosci, or equivalent certifications.
-Experience supporting Quality Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Document Management Systems, or workflow automation platforms.
-Knowledge of change control, training governance, quality systems, supplier quality, quality agreements, and compliance administration processes.
-Experience leading digital transformation, workflow automation, process optimization, or AI-enabled operational improvement programs.
-Experience developing business cases, operating models, service catalogs, and long-term transformation roadmaps.
-Experience operating within complex global matrix organizations.
