Our customer is building a new Indirect Procurement organization responsible for transforming the management of more than $2B in annual indirect spend.

We are seeking a Senior Indirect Procurement Operations Manager (Indirect P2I Operations Excellence Lead) to serve as the operational foundation of the organization. This leader will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing the processes, systems, controls, and support capabilities required to scale a best-in-class procurement function.

This individual will work closely with Procurement Leadership, IT, Finance, and Business Operations to develop the technical infrastructure, operational workflows, and governance framework necessary to support long-term procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of the indirect procurement operating model.

Develop and optimize Procure-to-Invoice (P2I) processes, controls, and governance structures.

Partner with IT to design and implement future-state procurement capabilities and system enhancements.

Serve as the primary business lead for procurement technology initiatives involving SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

Create scalable workflows supporting procurement operations, supplier onboarding, compliance, reporting, and end-user support.

Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, controls, and compliance requirements.

Support supplier and internal stakeholder issue resolution.

Build operational frameworks that enable future organizational growth.

Collaborate closely with the Sourcing Lead to ensure sourcing strategies transition effectively into ongoing operational execution.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience in Procurement Operations, Procurement Excellence, Supply Chain Operations, or a related field.

Experience supporting indirect procurement functions within large distribution-based organizations.

Strong background working with procurement technologies such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or related platforms.

Proven experience leading process transformation and operational improvement initiatives.

Demonstrated experience partnering with IT organizations on system implementation or enhancement projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience influencing stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT, and Procurement functions.

Bachelor's degree required. - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Experience leading procurement transformation programs.

Lean Six Sigma certification.

Experience building procurement governance and compliance frameworks.

Knowledge of Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, or Procure-to-Invoice operating models.
