Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable managing a steady flow of accounting transactions. The person in this role will contribute to accurate recordkeeping, timely payment processing, and efficient handling of receivables while working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, verify payment details, and help ensure accounts payable activities are completed accurately and on schedule.

Record incoming payments, update customer account information, and support accounts receivable follow-up to maintain current balances.

Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and review entries for completeness and consistency.

Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payment records, and related accounting files to support internal tracking and audits.

Use QuickBooks to post transactions, reconcile records, and assist with routine accounting updates and reporting.

Communicate with vendors or customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and account discrepancies in a clear and courteous manner.

Assist with invoice processing tasks by reviewing submitted documents and routing items for proper approval when needed. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or finance environment.

Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within computerized accounting systems.

Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy, detail, and deadlines.

Knowledge of invoice processing procedures and basic financial recordkeeping practices.

Ability to organize multiple tasks, prioritize daily workload, and maintain reliable follow-through.

Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
