Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing execution, quality systems, process improvements, and production readiness for our growing data center cooling product lines. You will act as the primary engineering liaison between our organization and manufacturing partners, ensuring production quality, throughput, documentation control, supplier performance, and successful product scaling. This role requires a combination of manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and supplier manufacturing experience, with the ability to operate independently and resolve issues effectively.
Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing execution and quality systems for data center cooling product lines.
Drive process improvements and production readiness activities.
Serve as the primary engineering liaison between the company and manufacturing partners.
Ensure production quality, throughput, and documentation control.
Manage supplier performance and successful product scaling.
Collaborate with engineering leadership, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
Own manufacturing quality, process development, and production execution from start to finish.
Essential Skills
7-10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Production Engineering.
Expertise in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and electronic assembly.
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering - Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Improvement, Production Ramp, NPI, and Contract Manufacturing.
Proficiency in Quality Systems - PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Supplier Quality, and First Article Inspection.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Strong communication and supplier management skills.
Capability to troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues with root cause and corrective action experience.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in industrial instrumentation and sensor manufacturing.
Familiarity with fluid handling products, valves, and controls.
Exposure to data center cooling products.
Experience with PCB assembly, potting and encapsulation, conformal coating, wire harness assembly, and electronics troubleshooting.
Knowledge of injection molded plastics.
ERP/MRP experience.

The company designs and manufactures level measurement and control instrumentation used across various industries including chemical processing, water/wastewater, energy, industrial automation, and fluid management applications. These products are globally sold and adhere to high-quality standards. The company is experiencing substantial growth in its data center cooling product lines due to increasing global demand for AI and data center infrastructure. This position offers a hybrid office and manufacturing environment with frequent interactions with contract manufacturers, a significant amount of shop floor exposure, and a hands-on approach to working directly with products, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and production issues. It requires high ownership and self-direction within a small-company environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Alamitos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
