CSCP's vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.
Within CSCP, the Spares Supply Chain organization is reinventing and transforming the cloud service parts supply chain. Our goal is to ensure the right spare parts are in the right place at the right time to support global capacity requirements and make sure our customers have the cloud capacity they need when they need it.

Responsibilities
Own end-to-end demand, supply, inventory, and lifecycle planning for assigned commodities, platforms, or services to ensure continuity of operations and service attainment.
Develop and execute supply strategies that balance availability, cost, inventory health, and business risk across the product lifecycle.
Lead material readiness and planning execution for NPI, scale-out, sustainment, transition, Last Time Buy (LTB), and End-of-Life (EOL) activities.
Drive cross-functional programs from planning through execution, managing schedules, dependencies, milestones, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
Ensure deployment readiness by coordinating material, spares, capacity, and infrastructure availability to support business commitments.
Monitor inventory health, forecast accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory, supply constraints, and capacity risks; implement corrective actions when needed.
Partner with engineering, sourcing, suppliers, finance, operations, deployment, and business leaders to align priorities and drive execution.
Proactively identify supply chain, lifecycle, and operational risks; lead mitigation strategies, continuity planning, and risk-buy recommendations.
Leverage data analytics, planning systems, and dashboards to generate actionable insights and drive fact-based decision making.
Define, track, and report key business metrics, providing regular updates on program performance, inventory, risks, and operational readiness.
Lead process improvement and automation initiatives that increase planning efficiency, scalability, data quality, and operational excellence.
Serve as the central coordination point across multiple organizations, influencing decisions through strategic recommendations and executive-level communication.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred experience with Planning, Life Cycle management and Reporting for Supply Chain Optimization in a Service Organization.:
Demonstrated inventory planning expertise, including multi-echelon inventory optimization.
Understanding of supply chain hardware engineering including gathering, analyzing, and defining demand and supply variables and operational execution.
Expertise in deployment & service of high-performance, highly available, large-scale server hardware, network devices, and related technologies, preferably in tier one cloud technology providers.
Knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter issues such as physical space, rack units, break-fix requirements, and incident management.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure with minimal guidance.
Strong process/system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use, and drive improvements in new processes/systems.
Demonstrated technical problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on process engineering and automation.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements.
Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations.
Detail-oriented, ability to communicate complex problems and solutions, strong drive to collaborate, strong bias for action to close out problems, and very comfortable working with numbers.
Good business judgment, executive communication/presentation skills, and persistent attention to detail.
Strong working knowledge of key IT and service industry concepts.
Strong analytical capabilities & experience with time-series modeling, optimization, and statistical analysis is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in program management methodologies, process, and tools. Lean/Six-Sigma training, 5S, Kaizen, Agile, CPIM/CSCP certification useful/preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus (SAP or comparable).
Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
