The opportunity
Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding with respect to?buildings?and infrastructure projects
Short circuit, overcurrent coordination,?load?and arc flash studies
Lighting photometric calculations using AGI
Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices
Technical report writing
Work on projects using Revit MEP?and SKM
Contribute to the development of reports and electrical calculations
Work with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects
Attend?meetings - listen, ask questions. Be involved in discussions with other disciplines and Architects to gain knowledge & experience.
Is this role right for you?
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering?(BSEE), or similar degree,?bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering?(BSAE), or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Concentration: Electrical
Demonstrated interest in the electrical engineering industry with an emphasis on the power side of the discipline?within buildings and infrastructure projects
Skills in planning and organizing
Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing
Attitude of taking independent initiative,?exhibiting?creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while?remaining?dedicated to teamwork
The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills?required?for our constantly evolving environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
EIT/ FE certification preferred
Coursework in building systems design, electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, and codes and standards preferred
Internship experience in a consulting firm with emphasis on buildings electrical power system design preferred
Demonstrated interest in sustainability as?evidenced?by extracurricular activities,?etc?preferred
Academic research, coursework, or other experience with alternative energy systems and other technologies new to the construction industry?preferred
Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools?preferred
Experience with automation or machine learning?preferred
Proven ability to perform in a deadline situation preferred
Evidence of teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment or honor society preferred
To be considered for a graduate opportunity, your application must include a copy of your cv/resume and meet the following criteria:
Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts

Houston Hiring Range - Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Houston is $76,500 to $83,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Houston will differ.
