Study Director III Toxicology

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Inc. has an opening for a Study Director III Toxicology in Madison, WI. This is a hybrid position. Must work 2 days per week in Madison, WI office, and can work remotely within US 3 days per week. Serve as a Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Contributing Scientist for nonclinical toxicology studies, for fundamental and complex toxicology studies. Develop Protocols and ensure that the Protocol, including any changes, is approved and in compliance with appropriate policies, SOPs, GLPs, guides/work instructions, and regulatory agency guidelines. Ensure that test and control materials are available, have been suitably tested for use on study (identity, purity, etc.), and that appropriate technical and safety data are obtained. Monitor progress and status of assigned studies and research projects. Ensures all experimental data, including observations of unanticipated responses to the test system, are accurately recorded, and verified. Communicate regularly with the Sponsor, providing study progress updates and participate and host Sponsor visits. Direct analysis of data, preparation of reports, and ensure compliance with Protocol and regulatory requirements is documented within the report. Address and approve responses to quality assurance inspections for GLP-regulated studies. Prepare report amendments when needed. Lead the scientific interpretation and integration of study data; consult with the relevant scientific stakeholders, Principal Investigators, and Contributing Scientists; and ensure all data are accurately interpreted and support the overall toxicological conclusions. Ensure appropriate/timely archival of study data, specimens, and the report. Participate in regulatory visits. Identify opportunities for process improvements, take ownership of process, and drive process improvement to completion. Serve as coach or mentor (e.g., training study-related processes, assisting with complex analytical work/problem solving, and presenting seminars). Must possess at least a PhD or its equivalent in Toxicology, Biological Sciences or related field. In the alternative, must possess at least a master\'s degree or its equivalent in Toxicology, Biological Sciences or related field and at least 4 years of experience as a Study Director, Toxicologist or related role. Must also possess the following: demonstrable experience/knowledge with involving ocular biology, retinal disease, ophthalmic experimental systems, or related fields; demonstrable experience/knowledge with cell-based systems, gene delivery approaches, or advanced therapeutic research platforms relevant to drug development; and demonstrable experience in a contract research organization (CRO) environment. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess at least a PhD or its equivalent in Toxicology, Biological Sciences or related field. In the alternative, must possess at least a master\'s degree or its equivalent in Toxicology, Biological Sciences or related field and at least 4 years of experience as a Study Director, Toxicologist or related role.
