Job Description
The Aircraft Repair Technician performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate aircraft in full compliance with manufacturer specifications and FAA guidelines. This role focuses on returning aircraft to service in an airworthy condition, supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. The technician works closely with crew leaders, follows established procedures, and contributes to a safe, organized, and professional hangar environment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of corporate aircraft in accordance with specific manufacturer instructions and FAA regulations.
Troubleshoot malfunctions on basic aircraft systems and accurately identify root causes of mechanical issues.
Repair aircraft and return them to service in an airworthy condition, ensuring all work meets regulatory and quality standards.
Communicate regularly with the crew leader on job progression and provide updates to support efficient workflow.
Coordinate with the crew leader as needed to expedite troubleshooting and obtain technical information related to aircraft systems and repairs.
Complete sign-out forms when taking parts from stock to maintain accurate inventory and parts usage records.
Prepare documentation, repair and maintenance records, and other required paperwork in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
Return tools and equipment to their appropriate storage locations at the end of tasks and shifts.
Clean and maintain the work area in an acceptable condition to promote safety and present a professional image.
Perform specific assigned shop duties as required to support overall maintenance operations.
Complete and sign off aircraft preparation forms when authorized, ensuring readiness for maintenance or return to service.
Maintain aircraft work schedules to align with customers' flight schedules and minimize downtime.
Ensure the timely and efficient completion of all assigned work, meeting established deadlines and quality expectations.
Complete discrepancy items and document work that is not yet finished, ensuring clear communication and continuity between shifts.
Maintain a file of technical information, manuals, and reference materials needed to work effectively on assigned aircraft.
Prepare kits for installations and ensure all required components and documentation are organized and ready for use.
Secure aircraft at the end of the shift, including installing cowlings and locking aircraft doors to protect assets and maintain safety.
Essential Skills
3-4 years of experience supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on corporate aircraft.
Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Hands-on experience with corporate aircraft maintenance and repair.
Proficiency in troubleshooting basic aircraft systems and resolving mechanical issues.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
Experience performing scheduled maintenance and using ground support equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with a variety of aircraft systems and components.
Capability to prepare and maintain accurate repair, maintenance, and regulatory documentation.
Effective communication skills to work closely with crew leaders and maintenance teams.
Ownership and use of personal tools required to perform aircraft maintenance tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Corporate maintenance experience on a range of business and corporate aircraft @types.
Attention to detail in following manufacturer and FAA guidelines for maintenance and repair.
Ability to maintain organized files of technical information and reference materials.
Strong focus on safety and adherence to established hangar procedures.
Reliability in maintaining work schedules to support customer flight operations.
Comfort working in a structured environment with regular documentation and inventory controls.

Work Environment
This role is based in a hangar environment that supports corporate aircraft maintenance operations. The standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime offered as needed to meet customer and operational demands. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and a professional image, with technicians expected to maintain clean work areas and properly store tools and equipment. Work involves regular use of ground support equipment, adherence to FAA and manufacturer procedures, and collaboration with crew leaders and maintenance teams in an active, hands-on maintenance facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
