Description We are looking for a Sales Assistant to support customer interactions and sales operations for a wood and furniture manufacturing business in Torrance, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing responsive service, managing order-related activities, and helping customers find accurate product information. The role works closely with internal teams to keep communication clear, resolve issues efficiently, and contribute to a dependable customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a primary point of contact for customers by handling questions, requests, and follow-up communication in a timely and attentive manner.

Prepare and process quotation requests, enter sales orders accurately, and confirm details to help ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Provide customers with clear updates regarding products, order status, and related inquiries while maintaining a high level of service.

Investigate customer concerns, including product or ordering issues, and coordinate with internal partners to bring matters to resolution.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across sales and operations to support daily workflow and maintain consistent communication.

Monitor incoming requests and prioritize tasks effectively to meet response expectations and business needs.

Maintain accurate records in company systems and use available software tools to support customer and sales activities.

Contribute to customer retention by delivering helpful support and a positive experience throughout the sales process. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in machine tools, industrial supplies, or a similar environment.

Prior success in customer service, inside sales, direct sales, inbound sales, outbound sales, or related support functions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen carefully and respond effectively.

Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Comfort using business software, operating systems, and third-party tools to complete customer and order-related tasks.

Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships with customers and internal team members.

Sound judgment, accountability, and a customer-focused approach in day-to-day work.
