Overview

We are seeking a Jr. Electrical Engineer to join an award-winning engineering services firm supporting commercial and aerospace clients throughout Long Island.
This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on testing and engineering design work, allowing you to develop your technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers on cutting-edge electronic products. You'll gain exposure to a variety of technologies, work directly with real-world customer projects, and contribute to products used in demanding commercial and aerospace applications.
Job Responsibilities
Perform hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of commercial and aerospace electronic products, representing approximately 75% of the role
Diagnose electronic circuit and assembly failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
Conduct schematic capture and design support activities using engineering design software, including Cadence tools
Support senior electrical engineers with testing, debugging, and technical project tasks
Utilize oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and other electronic measurement equipment to verify product performance and specifications
Read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, and design documentation
Analyze test data, document findings, and contribute to product improvements
Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules
Support multiple client projects across a variety of industries and technologies
Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, troubleshooting efforts, and corrective actions
Participate in engineering reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions
Provide clear communication regarding project status, technical findings, and recommendations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
2 to 5 years of electrical engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic circuits and assemblies
Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and PCB documentation
Experience with schematic capture and electronic design software
Proficiency using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and related electronic test equipment
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis, voltage, current, and signal behavior
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Requirements
Experience performing root-cause analysis and troubleshooting electronic systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical assignments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working on a variety of client-driven projects and technologies
Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation and test records
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality engineering solutions

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
