The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor leads and develops the manufacturing engineering function at the Springville Plant. The supervisor partners with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Project Management, and site leadership to translate plant needs and data into sustainable results.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing engineering personnel; establish clear priorities, provide feedback, support capability growth, and manage team performance in alignment with site objectives.
Build and sustain a strong Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture by expanding 6S practices, reinforcing safe work standards, and ensuring engineering activities comply with applicable requirements.
Direct Continuous Improvement, Lean/OPEX, structured problem-solving, daily-management, and Kaizen initiatives that improve throughput, reduce quality errors, strengthen HSE performance, and remove waste.
Evaluate manufacturing and transactional processes, identify bottlenecks and process risks, and ensure practical improvements are implemented with production and operations teams.
Plan workload, resource capacity, and project sequencing across the engineering team; balance urgent operational support with longer-term capability, automation, and process-development work.
Establish and maintain operational analytics, KPI dashboards, trend analyses, capacity/utilization reporting, cost-reduction tracking, and leadership-ready performance reporting.
Use data to identify root causes, quantify opportunities, verify benefits, and sustain corrective actions through DMAIC, PDCA, RCCA, PFMEA, and DFMEA methods.
Define and manage CAPEX, automation, and process-control projects; coordinate cross-functional execution, manage scope and risk, and deliver agreed improvements on time and within budget.
Oversee process standardization, Management of Change, equipment validation, product qualification, documentation, and readiness activities across the facility.
Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Project Management, and Engineering to prioritize site opportunities, resolve constraints, and ensure effective implementation.
Lead KPI reviews and data-based problem solving; connect operational performance to annual operating-plan and strategy-deployment objectives, track improvement benefits, and sustain results.
Champion Flowserve Values, Behaviors, and Code of Conduct through an accountable, collaborative, high-performance, and data-driven operating culture.
