Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
This laborer role supports ironworkers and rigging crews on a large, fast-paced commercial construction site. You assist with lift operations, help assemble structural components, and maintain a clean and safe work area while working closely with experienced tradespeople on long-term industrial projects.
Responsibilities
Assist ironworkers with day-to-day tasks, including handling materials, tools, and equipment needed for steel erection and related activities.
Spot lift work and support rigging operations by safely guiding and monitoring loads during crane and material handling activities.
Bolt racks and steel connectors together, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening of structural components as directed.
Sweep and clean the work area regularly to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient job site.
Work flexibly across different tasks on site as requested, not limited to a single function such as welding, erecting steel, or rigging equipment.
Support crews as they are pulled in different directions on site, adapting to changing priorities and production needs.
Maintain consistent attendance and meet daily production expectations in a high-productivity, high-pressure environment.
Perform physically demanding work, including standing on your feet for up to 10 hours per day, lifting 50+ pounds, and walking several miles across a large site.
Work comfortably from heights as required for tasks related to steel work and industrial construction.
Follow all safety procedures and site rules, including requirements associated with working at a large industrial facility.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of commercial construction experience, with proven ability to work safely and productively on large job sites.
OSHA 10 certification, demonstrating foundational knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
General labor experience in construction, including material handling, basic hand and power tool use, and site cleanup.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Comfort working from heights on industrial and commercial construction projects.
Ability to walk several miles per day across a large construction site.
Reliability and strong attendance, with a commitment to meeting production expectations in a high-pressure environment.
Willingness to work 10-hour days, five days per week, with additional hours on some Saturdays.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working at a large semiconductor facility such as TSMC is preferred.
Experience working with a steel contractor or on structural steel projects is preferred.
Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks beyond a single trade focus, including assisting riggers, ironworkers, and other site crews.
Ability to start work very early in the morning, including start times as early as 4 a.m. during the summer.
Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high-productivity, deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment
This role is based at a large, high-productivity semiconductor construction site in Arizona, with work at several major job locations. You typically work five 10-hour days per week, with some Saturdays as needed, resulting in a 50-hour workweek and potential for additional hours. The environment is high-pressure and deadline-driven, with strict production and attendance expectations. Start times can vary and may be as early as 4 a.m. during the summer, requiring comfort with early morning shifts. The site is expansive, so you should expect significant walking distances, including from the parking area to the work zones. Work is physically demanding and often performed at heights in an industrial construction setting, with a strong emphasis on safety practices and proper use of tools and equipment. Dress and personal protective equipment are consistent with commercial construction standards, including appropriate workwear and required safety gear.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
