Job Title: Entry-Level Machine Operator

Location: Bronx, NY

We are seeking an Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our production team in the Bronx, NY. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and comfortable working with basic math and measurements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description

As an Entry-Level Machine Operator, you will learn how to operate both computerized and traditional machines to cut and process materials. You'll be trained to read measurements, follow cutting plans, and ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently.

No advanced experience is required- just a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Operate saws and basic production machinery (training provided)

Measure materials accurately using rulers, tape measures, and calculators

Perform basic math calculations (example: Length × Width × Height)

Follow instructions and cutting plans to process materials correctly

Learn to read simple blueprints and measurement specifications

Inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Assist with basic machine upkeep and maintenance

Work with team members and supervisors to keep production running smoothly

Adapt to changes in production needs throughout the shift

Basic Requirements

Interest in learning machine operation and manufacturing processes

Ability to use a calculator and perform basic math (fractions, measurements, geometry)

Comfortable measuring and working with dimensions

Strong attention to detail

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills

Preferred (Not Required)

Any prior experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse work

Experience using measuring tools or basic machinery

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bronx, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
