The Construction Manager leads the field execution of large-scale industrial manufacturing projects, with a primary focus on aluminum beverage can production facilities. This role oversees all onsite construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards. The Construction Manager collaborates closely with engineering, fabrication, project management teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout all phases of construction. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial construction experience, proven leadership capabilities, and expertise in managing complex manufacturing facility projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all onsite construction activities for large-scale industrial manufacturing projects, particularly aluminum beverage can production facilities.
Ensure projects are executed safely, adhering to all applicable safety standards and site-specific safety protocols.
Manage project schedules to keep construction activities on track and ensure timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery.
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and support change order management to maintain financial performance and project profitability.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
Collaborate closely with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams to resolve design and construction issues and maintain project alignment.
Oversee field operations, including concrete work, construction inspection, and installation activities across multiple trades.
Ensure construction work meets quality standards and complies with relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements.
Communicate regularly with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Utilize construction management software and scheduling tools to plan, track, and report on construction activities.
Support the execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects when applicable, coordinating efforts across disciplines.
Apply modular construction, prefabrication, and unitized installation strategies where appropriate to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
Oversee installation of mechanical systems, process piping, conveyor systems, utilities, and industrial electrical systems in manufacturing facilities.
Conduct and oversee construction inspections to verify compliance with design documents, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Travel to and work at project sites throughout North America as needed to support field execution and project oversight.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
At least 7 years of industrial construction experience.
Minimum of 3 years managing large capital projects as a Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Superintendent.
Proven experience overseeing industrial manufacturing facilities, process plants, food and beverage facilities, packaging plants, or heavy industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor management, and field operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage change orders and maintain project schedule and budget.
Hands-on experience with concrete work and construction inspection in an industrial environment.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using construction management software to plan, track, and report on project activities.
Ability to travel extensively and work at project sites throughout North America.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting aluminum can manufacturing facilities, packaging facilities, or high-speed production environments.
Experience leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
Familiarity with modular construction, prefabrication, and unitized installation strategies.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, process piping, conveyor systems, utilities, and industrial electrical installations in manufacturing settings.
OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience utilizing Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for construction scheduling and planning.
Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite at industrial manufacturing project locations, including aluminum beverage can production and related facilities. The Construction Manager works in active construction environments, coordinating field operations and interacting regularly with engineering, fabrication, project management teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. The position requires extensive travel to project sites throughout North America, with work performed in and around industrial equipment, utilities, and production areas. The environment is fast-paced, schedule-driven, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficient execution of construction activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Golden, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
