Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years field construction experience or
Associate's Degree and 4 years field construction experience or
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years field construction experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture and 2 years field construction experience
Relevant Work Experience
Fundamental background in construction management and be knowledgeable in electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, construction or operations, required.
Knowledge of the facilities, remediation, electric, gas and/or steam system, preferred.
Proficiency and knowledge of Oracle, ProjectWise, Auto-CAD, Micro-station, Microsoft Projects, Primavera, MAXIMO, and/or Oracle Work Management System, preferred,
Knowledge of Building Code and permit requirements, preferred.
Knowledge of safety and environmental procedures related to working in generating stations, substations, commercial facilities or public streets, preferred.
Knowledge of contract administration procedures, inspection and cost control, preferred.
Ability to interface with external agencies and customers, preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated written communication skills
Develops and delivers effective presentations
Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be willing and able to report to multiple company locations and construction sites, including reassignment to alternate locations based on operational and business requirements.
