Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) of the City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking an Academic Technology and Student Success Manager to join the Digital Education team. The Digital Education Center collaborates with all units in the Office of Academic Affairs and across the college to support faculty and students as they prepare for and embark upon digital teaching and learning experiences. Digital Education encourages and facilitates transformative online pedagogies and technologies that enable all students to succeed. The position reports to the Director of Digital Education.
The Academic Technology and Student Success Manager will:
Serve as the campus lead LMS (learning management system) administrator:-Represent BMCC in university LMS Council meetings and other academic technology-Study release notes and roadmaps and communicate relevant information with the college community-Lead system troubleshooting-Facilitate the addition of new features, tools (particularly those designed according to Learning Tools Interoperability standards, commonly referred to as LTIs), and system design-Adjust system configuration; manage system reporting-Streamline processes for user management, course creation, and system announcements; and manage system access for BMCC users.-Supervise staff who serve as assistant system administrators.
Serve as the primary manager for other educational technologies, including Zoom, Padlet, VoiceThread, and Hypothesis.
Apply university and college policies to decision making about academic technologies.
Manage student support within the Digital Education Center, supervising staff who provide direct student support and assisting with student support during the busiest times of the semester.
Collaborate extensively with learning experience designers, the digital education specialist, the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Scholarship (CETLS), and the Faculty Collaboratory to develop programming and resources for faculty that focus on student success.
Develop and lead training for staff in student-facing departments at BMCC (e.g., the Learning Resource Center (LRC), Information and Resources Technology (IRT) Service Desk, Panther Station, and New Student Programs) to prepare them to orient and guide students in effective use of the LMS and related learning technologies.
Collaborate closely with the LRC to develop and deliver student resources that prepare them to succeed in online learning.
Create and refine resources and orientation courses that guide students, faculty, and staff in the use of Brightspace (the current university LMS), Zoom, and other learning technologies, and familiarize faculty and student-facing departments with these student resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.
Advanced degree preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range is $89,777 to $102,460; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
