Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Systems group Manager - Management Systems Development to lead engineering and operational delivery for enterprise applications that support infrastructure governance, application resiliency, and operational visibility across hybrid environments.
This role provides people leadership, technical direction, and full lifecycle accountability for in-house developed applications and automation platforms used broadly across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise server inventory, infrastructure governance, and management systems across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
Provide end-to-end ownership for multiple applications, ensuring high levels of availability, scalability, performance, reliability, and security .
Develop systems and automation capabilities that enable self-service network and server management , reducing operational overhead and improving user experience.
Drive adoption of automation, APIs, self-service platforms, and modernization initiatives to improve efficiency and platform scalability.
Oversee production support, incident response, problem management, release management, and change control processes for supported applications.
Define and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture standards, and infrastructure strategies.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs focused on platform health, resiliency, risk reduction, service availability, and continuous improvement.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and Agile resources while partnering across infrastructure, application, security, audit, and compliance organizations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 8 years experience with management approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
At least 5 years experience with utilizing, configuring, and installing software for connecting distributed -software and services across heterogeneous platforms.
At least 10 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing software engineering and platform teams .
Strong experience with enterprise application development, SDLC, Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and platform engineering .
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure management, server inventory, governance, automation, or operational visibility platforms .
Experience programming in .NET (preferred), Java, and/or Python to support platform development, automation, and integration capabilities.
Deep understanding of hybrid cloud environments , including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure .
Expertise in API-driven architectures, systems integration, automation frameworks, and self-service technology platforms .
Strong background in production operations, incident management, monitoring, problem resolution, and operational excellence initiatives .
Knowledge of information security, risk management, SOC/SOC2/PCI compliance requirements, and audit-ready control environments .

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
