Job Description (General Summary)
Intralox has a position available for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer.? This position will be critical to the efficient translation of products from engineering development to manufacturing.? Intralox Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers employ many designs for manufacturing (DFM) techniques including part and product design optimization for assembly and operations, Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA), and industrial process optimization. Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers also work hand in hand with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and shipping of products.?
This team utilizes a variety of skill sets, development methodologies, and functional knowledge to accelerate the efficiency and scale of equipment production. This position is in the Edgemere, MD office. Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
Identifies cost savings opportunities through production process improvements
Leads or coordinates completion and implementation of optimization opportunities throughout global manufacturing facilities
Champion the product development process on innovative new technologies to simplify the path forward for team members inside and outside of manufacturing engineering
Support reduction of time to market of new products and technologies
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Designs, builds, and implements improvements to production processes such as jigs, fixtures, and assembly automation.
Improves product design by using a variety of Design for Manufacturing techniques.
Work hand in hand with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and shipping of products.?
Perform product maintenance & design improvements on pre-defined products through ECR/ECO execution.
Acts as designated manufacturing engineer on product launch teams.
Help develop & maintain production process documentation.
Deep understanding of lean practices and a proven track record of optimizing manufacturing systems to balance waste and continuity
Collaborate and coordinate with various team members including but not limited to Controls Engineers, Programmers, Project Managers, Assembly technicians, IT, and Warehouse personnel.
Collaborate directly with engineering and business leadership to proactively prepare production space to match business goals
Requirements:
B.S in Mechanical Engineering or related field
8-10+ years' experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
Strong mechanical and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A self-managed individual who is a team player.
Located in Maryland and work primarily at production facility.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing.
A deep understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
A developed understanding of lean manufacturing principles and track record of successful related projects
Computer proficiency in MS office.
Travel required (5%) for equipment installation, start-up or troubleshooting, and various training opportunities.
Willing and able to work with tools in an industrial environment.
Experience in Configuration Management, sheet metal design and electro-mechanical design.
Experience with design for manufacturing, inventory management, lean practices, and manufacturing methodologies.
Experience with Oracle ERP software, Windchill PLM, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.
Salary Range: $74,300 to $174,300
