Job Title: Assembly

Department: Manufacturing

Reporting Structure: Manufacturing Manager

FTE: Full Time

Shift: 1st (First), 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $22.00 - 28.00

Work Location: South Windham, CT (10 minutes from Willimantic and 20 minutes from Norwich, CT).

Job Summary:

Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

About the Role:

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists

Gathers necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials to complete the job.

Assembles components per instructions.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Required Qualifications:

US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

Prompt punctuality and attendance

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Box Truck Driving Experience

Forklift Experience

Experience in quality assurance a plus

Takes initiative

Physical & Mental:

General: Position requires ability to concentrate on details with occasional interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand theories behind related concepts and to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over periods of time; ability to prioritize given shifting priorities; ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

Environmental & Working Conditions:

Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
