Summary This position serves as the Program Support Assistant for the Hem-Onc Section of Nursing Service. This position is located in VA Northern California Health Care System performing a variety of clerical, administrative and technical duties/responsibilities in support of management with the intent of accomplishing the administrative responsibilities. Major Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Submit LEAF requests to manage clinic schedule changes, cancellations, and new clinics, ensuring all updates are accurately reflected. Coordinate and maintain schedules for faculty, fellows, residents, and technicians to ensure clinic coverage and prevent double booking. Reserve conference rooms for group clinics and other clinical activities. Enter and upload non-VA medical records into CPRS and perform various nonstandard computer operating tasks. Submit and track work orders for equipment, repairs, and clinical needs while assisting staff in obtaining required support. Manage administrative tasks such as routing phone calls, organizing staff meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items. Serve as timekeeper for multiple Hem/Onc services, inputting codes, verifying overtime and contracted hours, and acting as liaison to payroll. Maintain correspondence control, generate documents, track supplies and equipment, and act as primary liaison between program offices and external administrative offices. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
