Our client, a reputable legal practice specializing in litigation and transactional matters, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be part of the administrative support staff supporting attorneys and legal professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: Brea, CA

Pay Range: $28

Shift: 8:30AM - 5:30PM, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

Perform clerical duties including filing (numeric and alpha) and managing office equipment.

Maintain and organize files, databases, and records with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Compose routine correspondence, reports, and manage calendar schedules for attorneys.

Answer phones, screen calls, take messages, and handle communication efficiently.

Assist with data entry for QuickBooks and billing programs such as TimeSlips.

What's Needed?

Excellent clerical skills and experience with office machines.

Proficiency in computer literacy, including advanced word processing skills.

Experience with WordPerfect, QuickBooks, TimeSlips, and Legal Solutions/Essential Forms preferred.

Legal secretary and/or paralegal experience is a plus.

Notary Public certification is advantageous.
