We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to support a busy civil litigation team in Santa Ana, California. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment, brings strong organizational judgment, and can manage multiple attorney needs with accuracy and professionalism. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a respected national practice while working closely with attorneys on civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

Support a group of attorneys by coordinating day-to-day administrative and litigation-related tasks across an active caseload.

Prepare, format, revise, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, tables of contents, and tables of authorities with close attention to detail.

Handle electronic court filings in state and, when needed, federal courts while ensuring submissions meet procedural requirements and deadlines.

Maintain attorney schedules by organizing meetings, tracking commitments, and helping keep calendars and priorities aligned.

Process attorney expense reports and related administrative documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist with client-facing materials, including drafting and editing routine correspondence and other legal support documents.

Work within document management platforms to organize files, retrieve records, and maintain efficient document control practices.

Provide dependable office support that helps attorneys stay prepared, responsive, and organized throughout the litigation process.

Requirements - At least 3 years of experience supporting attorneys in a civil litigation environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of electronic filing procedures, including state court submissions; exposure to federal filings is preferred.

Strong skills in legal document preparation, formatting, proofreading, and production.

Ability to manage competing priorities for multiple attorneys while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Proficiency with calendar coordination, administrative support, and general law office operations.

Experience using document management systems; familiarity with iManage is helpful but not required.

Comfortable working with litigation support tasks such as correspondence preparation, expense processing, and file organization.
