DESCRIPTION
The Account Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for the client and works closely with the agency team to coordinate and supervise the strategic development, creative development, and tactical execution as needed for clients' marketing efforts. Facilitate the communication, presentation and creation of marketing and promotional campaigns that meet client sales and marketing objectives. Drive consumer and shopper marketing initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial results for client, retailer and agency. 6 + years of marketing agency experience with a demonstrated ability to generate revenue. Additional experience with consumer packaged goods and/or retail marketing, along with a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and strong communication skills is a plus. May travel up to 25% of time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Services:
Build client relationships with appropriate marketing and sales functions, this includes visits to client headquarters and participation in client planning meetings
Serve as primary client contact at the appropriate management level
Train/supervise/oversee effective completion of all Account Coordinator & Account Executive job responsibilities
Expand client relationships to gain incremental revenue
Share best practices with others to maximize business potential
Understand client's objectives, strategies and tactics and be the client advocate with the agency team
Ensure that we are meeting or exceeding all client contract obligations
Program Planning and Development
Lead or support the strategic planning process
Participate in brainstorm meetings
Utilize Agency planning documents, such as job brief
Drive recommended program solutions that meet clients' sales/marketing goals and brand standards
Determine necessary research to support or validate marketing plans
Investigate and recommend most effective execution strategies and tactics
Creative Execution/Production
Manage creative process
Lead presentation of creative concepts to client
Ensure recommended creative solution fulfills approved creative guidelines and communication priorities and meets clients objectives
Ensure team follows Agency process and procedures
Program Implementation
Oversee the implementation and management of all marketing tactics and retail initiatives
Oversee the management of budgets and timelines
Oversee the management and communication between the agency team, retail field team and client team
Financial Responsibilities
Support Director/VP to ensure that agency meets all contracted obligations
Ensure profitability by ensuring that estimates and invoices are appropriately charged
Oversee clients' overall Account Receivables
Help Director/VP manage overall profitability of accounts
Other
Be willing, able, readily available to work outside of "normal hours"
Be a team player to your specific account team(s)
Work on special projects as directed by leadership
Communicate upward to ensure that management is informed
Oversee Account Executive and Account Coordinator roles as assigned to your team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor of Arts Degree
Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related field.
Minimum 6 + years agency experience in retail or consumer packaged goods preferred.
Research/analysis experience a plus.
Skills
Techniques, including syndicated data
Proven leadership, organization, and communications skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Self-starter with strong analytical problem-solving ability.
Effectively develop and communicate ideas, both oral and written.
Handle multiple projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods (typically 6+ hours per day).
Use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods.
Lift and carry light items (e.g., files, office supplies, laptops, typically 20+ pounds).
Reach, bend, or stoop occasionally to access files or office materials.
Maintain focus and attention for long periods of desk-based work.
Follow clear directions.
Perform repetitive motions (e.g., typing, clicking) consistently throughout the day.
