Job Title: 1st Shift Shipping Clerk Job Description
The 1st Shift Shipping Clerk supports efficient manufacturing operations by accurately moving, tracking, and organizing materials within a modern production facility. This role focuses on system-based material movement, inventory control, and production line support to ensure schedules are met and production runs without interruption.
Responsibilities
Perform material movement transactions in the system to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
Supply production lines with the materials required to meet manufacturing schedules and maintain uninterrupted production flow.
Assist with inventory control by performing regular cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Properly label, store, and organize materials in assigned locations to optimize space utilization and ensure easy accessibility.
Use RF scanners to track materials moving in and out of inventory and to record storage locations accurately within the system.
Document and track where materials are stored and what quantities are held, ensuring that items low in stock are identified and communicated so adequate product is always available.
Support cross-functional teams by providing accurate material and inventory information as needed.
Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in all material handling activities.
Essential Skills
Experience with material handling in a manufacturing warehouse environment, including manual movement, storage, and tracking of materials.
Proficiency using RF scanners to track materials coming in and out of inventory and to record storage locations in a manufacturing warehouse.
Strong inventory skills, including the ability to document and track storage locations, quantities, and items that are low in stock.
Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with EPICOR is a plus.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment
This role is based in a modern, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned manufacturing facility that leverages industry 4.0 technology and ERP systems such as EPICOR. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment is fast-growing and dynamic, with a strong focus on efficiency, continuous improvement, and collaboration across teams. On-site amenities include electric charging stations, and the facility supports a professional, safety-conscious atmosphere suitable for warehouse and production activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
