Job Title: Flatbed Truck Driver and Scaffold Builder
Job Description
This role combines flatbed truck driving, scaffold assembly, and general labor to support safe and efficient transport, loading, unloading, and installation of scaffolding and related equipment. You will work both in a small warehouse and out in the field, handling heavy materials, assembling scaffolds, and operating equipment to ensure projects run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
Assemble and put together scaffolding equipment according to safety standards and project specifications.
Perform basic woodworking tasks related to scaffold construction and equipment preparation.
Operate and drive flatbed trucks to transport scaffolding, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
Load and unload scaffolding and related materials safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Use forklifts, including sit-down forklifts, to move, stage, and organize materials in the warehouse and at job sites.
Secure loads on flatbed trucks using chains, straps, tarps, and other securement devices to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Work on the base and structure of scaffolds to ensure stability and proper assembly.
Perform general labor tasks such as organizing materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with production and transport activities.
Follow DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies while driving, loading, unloading, and working on-site.
Inspect vehicles, equipment, and scaffolding components for safety and report any issues or defects promptly.
Collaborate with team members in the warehouse and in the field to complete assignments efficiently and safely.
Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic in all assigned duties.
Essential Skills
Proven experience operating flatbed trucks, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
Familiarity with load securement techniques, including the use of chains, straps, and tarps.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and applicable safety standards for commercial driving and load transport.
Experience loading and unloading equipment and materials in warehouse and field environments.
Ability to assemble scaffolding equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic woodworking skills related to scaffold and equipment assembly.
Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down forklifts, in a safe and controlled manner.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying conditions, including warehouse and outdoor field settings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a scaffold builder or in similar construction or industrial roles.
Experience in general labor, production, or transport environments.
Comfort working on bases and structures of scaffolds at varying heights, where required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Strong teamwork and communication skills when working with warehouse and field crews.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
