Data Scientist II
Drive Marketing Performance Through Advanced Analytics
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable business insights? We are seeking a Data Scientist II to join our Digital Marketing Strategy team and play a key role in optimizing the customer journey through data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will partner with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Business stakeholders to analyze performance across the customer lifecycle, develop meaningful KPIs, and deliver insights that drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Analyze marketing and sales performance data, including campaign effectiveness, lead generation, customer engagement, conversion rates, and sales funnel performance.
Build predictive models, perform statistical analysis, and conduct segmentation and forecasting to identify trends and growth opportunities.
Design and evaluate experiments (A/B testing and related methodologies) to measure business impact and optimize outcomes.
Develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI to provide visibility into key business metrics.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and establish measurement frameworks.
Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Identify performance gaps, uncover business opportunities, and recommend data-backed solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience applying analytics to support marketing, sales, or customer lifecycle initiatives.
Strong knowledge of:
Statistical analysis
Predictive modeling
Data mining
Segmentation analysis
Forecasting
Experimental design
Advanced experience with Power BI, dashboard creation, and data visualization best practices.
Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) reporting, dashboards, and CRM analytics.
Ability to independently build reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that influence business decisions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within CRM and marketing automation ecosystems.
Background supporting digital marketing, lead generation, or sales operations organizations.
Experience partnering with global, cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to translate business questions into scalable analytical solutions.
Strong business acumen and a consultative approach to problem-solving.

Work Environment
This position operates in a collaborative, fast-paced, and highly data-driven environment. You'll work closely with Marketing, Sales, Marketing Operations, and Business Leadership teams to solve complex business challenges through analytics and reporting. The role includes regular stakeholder interaction, dashboard development, performance reviews, and strategic presentations during standard business hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
