College Graduate - Rotational Engineering Program (REP) - start date July 2027 in Torrance, CA

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program, a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. As a Software REP Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team focused on designing, developing, integrating, and testing software and firmware solutions for embedded and enterprise systems. This role offers hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and test software

Develop and maintain software and firmware test suites to verify system capabilities and requirements

Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance and support project development

Partner with systems engineering, and customer support teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues

Support design teams in bring-up and system-level validation of products

Contribute innovative ideas and state of the art thinking to improve business performance

Deliver leading edge, integrated solutions that meet customer needs

Participate in programs, projects, and initiatives aligned with Mercury's culture and strategy

Stay informed on industry trends and ensure Mercury's best practices are met or exceeded

Rotate through multiple technical disciplines to broaden skills and experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or computer science obtained between May 2026 and June 2027

A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process

Prior Co-Op or internship experience

Experience with embedded programming on hardware

Experience with C/C+

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively

Experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment

Demonstrated initiative through academic projects, internships, or process improvements

Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or engineering concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with lab equipment for data collection and processing

Experience with C# or RUST

Experience with Python

Experience working in Linux environments
