Job Title: 12pm - 8:30pm Shipping Associate Job Description
This role supports daily shipping and warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. You generate shipping manifests, assemble and prepare customer orders, and ensure products move accurately and efficiently through the facility. Working under direct supervision, you help receive, store, organize, and distribute materials in line with established guidelines and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Generate shipping manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in the warehouse system.
Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage locations.
Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence or layout.
Prepare products for internal distribution within the facility to support downstream processes.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping areas.
Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Arrange stock parts in specified sequences to support efficient assembly by other team members.
Create and enter manifest records accurately into the warehouse computer system.
Follow safety procedures and warehouse rules at all times, including restrictions on personal electronics and safe navigation of aisles.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily shipping and productivity targets.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Essential Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Up to 0-6 months of warehouse experience, or strong willingness to learn warehouse operations.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement and material handling.
Ability to interpret warehouse documents such as pick tickets, manifests, and order forms.
Basic computer skills to create and enter records in a warehouse management or manifest system.
Attention to detail when picking, packing, and auditing orders to ensure accuracy.
Ability to safely lift, move, and organize materials as required by warehouse operations.
Reliability in working the 12:00pm to 8:30pm shift consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No formal certifications required for hire.
Eligibility to be certified on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire, demonstrating an interest in learning powered industrial truck operation.
Prior experience with warehouse tasks such as material handling, picking, packing, shipping, and auditing is an asset but not mandatory.
Willingness to follow structured processes and work under direct supervision.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Work Environment
You work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious patterns. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures vary with the seasons. The role requires constant awareness of surroundings and adherence to safety rules. Cell phones and personal electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain focus and safety. You use warehouse computer systems, material handling equipment, and standard storage fixtures such as racks, shelves, totes, and bins. The scheduled shift runs from 12:00pm to 8:30pm. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, supporting safe movement and protection on the warehouse floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $13.00/hr.
