General Construction Laborer - General Contracting Hiring Now
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support daily operations on active civil construction and general contracting job sites. In this role, you will assist with site setup, material handling, temporary structure construction, site maintenance, and general labor activities. This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and contributing to a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain jobsite trailer areas, including furniture assembly, organization, cleaning, and general upkeep.
Move and transport construction materials, tools, equipment, lumber, and supplies throughout the jobsite.
Assist with the construction and installation of temporary structures, including trailer decking, walkways, and employee break areas.
Perform general site maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash removal, and jobsite cleanup.
Support construction crews with civil construction, site preparation, landscaping, dirt work, solar construction, and other labor-intensive activities as assigned.
Safely operate hand tools and basic construction equipment while following established work procedures.
Maintain clean and organized work areas to promote site safety and operational efficiency.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite regulations.
Operate company vehicles on-site as needed while maintaining compliance with all driving and safety requirements.
Assist with special projects and additional duties as directed by supervisors.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience performing general labor in construction, civil construction, landscaping, or a related outdoor work environment.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, mud, and snow.
Ability to frequently bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
Experience using hand tools and performing basic construction-related tasks.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work overtime when needed.
Ability to work a Monday through Saturday schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in civil construction, site development, grading, or dirt work.
Familiarity with solar construction or infrastructure projects.
Previous landscaping, grounds maintenance, or site cleanup experience.
Exposure to construction equipment, GPS-guided machinery, or CAT equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, organized workspaces.
Work Environment
Outdoor construction jobsite environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Work may include weekends, overtime, and extended hours based on project needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
