Certified Flagger
Position Overview
We are seeking a Certified Flagger to support safe and efficient traffic flow on active construction sites. In this role, you will direct vehicle and equipment movement, assist as a spotter for trucks and heavy equipment, and help maintain a safe work environment for crews, contractors, and the public. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, attentive, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced construction setting.
Key Responsibilities
Direct vehicle and equipment traffic in accordance with traffic control plans and site safety requirements.
Serve as a spotter for concrete trucks, delivery vehicles, and heavy equipment operating within the job site.
Communicate clearly with drivers, operators, and field personnel to ensure safe movement throughout work zones.
Install, maintain, and relocate cones, barricades, signs, and other traffic control devices as needed.
Monitor traffic patterns and site access points to identify and address potential hazards.
Maintain compliance with company safety policies, traffic control regulations, and project-specific requirements.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-miss events immediately.
Assist with site housekeeping, cleanup, and general labor support as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project operations.
Required Qualifications
Current Flagger Certification .
Previous experience working in construction, roadwork, or similar outdoor work environments.
Experience directing traffic and maintaining safe work zones around active construction operations.
Ability to serve as a spotter for trucks and heavy equipment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness.
Excellent communication skills and situational awareness.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 Certification.
Experience with commercial, industrial, civil, or roadway construction projects.
Equipment certifications such as Lull, Boom Lift, or Scissor Lift.
General labor or construction support experience.
Familiarity with construction tools and site equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
Continuous awareness of surrounding vehicle and equipment traffic.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Work Environment
This position is based on active construction sites with frequent interaction around moving vehicles, heavy equipment, and changing site conditions. Typical schedules may include 10-12 hour shifts , with overtime and weekend work available based on project demands. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and maintaining a strong focus on safety throughout the workday.

This is a Contract position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
