Field Service Technician Trainee

Entry-Level Opportunity | Paid Training | Travel | Mechanical Career Path

Looking to get out from behind a machine and into a hands-on career where every day is different?

We are seeking motivated individuals who enjoy working with tools, traveling, solving problems, and learning new skills. No previous field service experience is required. If you have mechanical aptitude, maintenance experience, welding experience, agricultural experience, or simply enjoy working with your hands, we want to hear from you.

As a Field Service Technician Trainee , you will travel to customer locations to help install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fertilizer handling equipment used in agricultural and industrial facilities. You will work alongside experienced technicians and receive on-the-job training while building a long-term career in field service.

What You'll Do

Travel to customer sites throughout the region

Assist with troubleshooting mechanical equipment and conveyor systems

Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

Learn to repair blenders, mixers, bucket elevators, conveyors, rotary drums, and related equipment

Assist with welding repairs and light fabrication work

Replace worn or damaged parts

Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

Complete service reports and document work performed

Communicate professionally with customers and team members

Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

What We're Looking For

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Experience using hand and power tools

Previous maintenance, construction, farming, manufacturing, automotive, or welding experience is a plus

Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Willingness to travel regularly for customer service calls

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

traveling anywhere from 50%-75% of the job take company vehicle when traveling. Candidate will charge all costs to their credit cards and get reimbursed 100% from Sackett
