Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at our headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing a variety of payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation to customer accounts.

Responsibilities

Reconcile and process all paper, electronic, and credit card receipts not automatically posted through PeopleSoft.

Handle payments (checks) not posted through the Accounts Receivable system.

Research unidentified Accounts Receivable checks.

Verify all payment information is accurate and applied to the correct customer accounts.

Utilize web-based image applications.

Process and reconcile daily bank deposits for both accounts receivable and non-accounts receivable transactions.

Retrieve, compile, and process all Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs).

Research and retrieve Imaged Check Requests.

Perform other Accounts Receivable duties as requested.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

Proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both internal and external customers.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Applications is a plus.

Experience with accounts receivable, AR, payment processing, and customer service.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
