We are seeking an experienced Calypso CATT Specialist to join our Capital Markets Technology team in New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using the Calypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT) to support Calypso implementations, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing platform enhancements.
This role requires a strong understanding of the Calypso platform, capital markets workflows, and test automation best practices. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the quality and stability of mission-critical trading and post-trade systems.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Calypso CATT
Create reusable test scripts and testing frameworks to improve automation coverage and efficiency
Execute functional, integration, regression, SIT, and UAT testing activities
Support Calypso implementation, upgrade, migration, and enhancement projects
Validate front-to-back business processes across the Calypso platform
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to drive resolution
Develop reconciliation and validation processes to ensure data integrity across systems
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios
Participate in release planning, test strategy development, and test execution reporting
Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing standards
Support production validation activities and post-release testing as required
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test cases, and execution reports
Requirements
5+ years of experience working with the Calypso platform
2+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT)
Strong experience creating and executing automated testing scripts and suites
Experience supporting Calypso upgrades, migrations, or implementation projects
Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile delivery practices
Experience with SIT, UAT, regression, and integration testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with defect management and test management tools
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Experience working in banking, capital markets, or financial services environments
Nice to have
Knowledge of multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Equities, Commodities, or Money Markets
Understanding of Calypso workflows, lifecycle events, messaging, settlements, accounting, and static data
SQL experience for data validation and reconciliation activities
Experience with test automation frameworks beyond CATT
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Previous experience in Calypso cloud or modernization initiatives
