At a Glance

You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:

Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantum Engineering Software, Computer Information Systems

This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.

Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.

In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

Supports data analysis, monitoring, and automation projects within AI Operations. You'll gain hands-on exposure to operational data at scale, AI Operations tooling, and the practices behind proactive, service-level support.

Analyzes operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and prepares datasets for reporting and analysis. The intern assists with automation projects that reduce manual monitoring and helps document monitoring practices for broader team adoption. The intern also partners with internal teams to gather requirements, share findings, and create documentation that makes technical work accessible to non-technical audiences.

Required qualifications

Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree

Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program

Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program

Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

Foundational knowledge of data analysis, basic proficiency in Python, SQL, or a similar language, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: coursework or project experience in networking, IT operations, or monitoring; exposure to automation scripting;
