Job Title: Electric Pallet Jack Operator
Job Description
The Material Handler works across multiple departments within a busy distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. In this role, you operate material handling equipment to move inventory throughout the facility, support order fulfillment, and help maintain accurate stock levels while following established safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Use material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, to locate, move, and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas within the distribution center.
Assist with staging and loading customer orders into trucks to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and other distribution centers, reporting discrepancies or issues as needed.
Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and securely wrapping pallets of products for shipment.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear, damage, or defects, and promptly notify management of inventory or product issues.
Return misplaced or incorrectly stored products to their proper storage locations to maintain organized and efficient inventory flow.
Maintain a clean and orderly working environment in accordance with company safety policies and guidelines.
Perform inventory control functions as needed, supporting accurate stock counts and product location tracking.
Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor for guidance and resolution.
Work under general supervision, exercising judgment in line with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
Participate in regular reviews of work output conducted by senior coworkers or supervisors to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Essential Skills
Proven experience operating an electric pallet jack in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Experience with order picking and handling customer orders.
Ability to follow detailed packing lists and instructions to accurately collect and assemble customer orders.
Capability to build and wrap pallets safely and efficiently for transport.
Strong attention to detail when verifying quantities, inspecting product quality, and identifying inventory issues.
Ability to follow established safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
Willingness to work under general supervision and accept regular review and feedback from senior coworkers or supervisors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience working in multiple functional areas such as shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment.
Comfort working with moving machinery and material handling equipment in a large industrial setting.
Ability to identify and report product defects, damage, or inventory discrepancies to management.
Strong organizational skills to maintain proper product placement and storage.
Reliability in adhering to scheduled overnight shifts and meeting productivity expectations.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large industrial distribution center environment. The work setting is generally comfortable but includes regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and occasional fumes, resulting in a moderate risk of discomfort or minor accidents if safety procedures are not followed. You primarily work overnight from Sunday night through Friday morning, on a 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. shift. Material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks, is used regularly, and adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness standards is expected throughout the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
