JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Associate employee is responsible for picking, Packaging, and loading/unloading semi-trailers as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not exclusive and may be expanded to include additional duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary from time to time. Pick orders from the stock or staging area or pick tickets. Transfer and rotate products to keep an accurate inventory. Prepare and pack products for shipping to customers. Ensure that customer orders and products match; box, crate, or shrink-wrap as necessary. Maintain the warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material. Assist in loading and unloading incoming/outgoing trucks. Operate forklift trucks and Pickers, as directed. Ensure forklift or Picker use is in proper working condition and recharge as needed. Follows all safety procedures associated with operating a picker or forklift. Keep records of out-going orders. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise. Operate equipment such as forklifts. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves. Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise. Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location, based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
