What You'll Do
Teradata is launching a New Logo Elastic Compute Team to introduce a new, outcome-driven sales motion before scaling globally. This team will serve as the proving ground for a repeatable go-to-market strategy designed to accelerate new customer acquisition, workload activation, and consumption growth.
As a Sales Account Executive, you will be part of a select team responsible for bringing this new motion to market. You will identify, engage, and acquire net-new customers while helping define best practices for a scalable growth engine. This is a highly visible opportunity for sellers who enjoy building territory from the ground up, creating opportunity where none exists, and helping shape the future of how Teradata acquires new business.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role tailored for hunters who are comfortable managing the entire customer journey, from prospecting and qualification through close and early workload activation.

Who You'll Work With
As part of this highly collaborative initiative, you'll partner closely with Solution Architects, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive customer outcomes.
You'll work alongside experienced technical and commercial professionals who are passionate about helping customers unlock value from their data and AI investments. Because this team is helping establish a new motion, you'll have the opportunity to influence processes, provide field feedback, and contribute ideas that directly impact future growth.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
We're looking for candidates with a proven track record as a Sales Account Executive in B2B software, cloud, data, analytics, AI, or technology solutions. You have demonstrated success identifying, pursuing, and closing net-new business opportunities while consistently exceeding sales targets.
The ideal candidate thrives in customer-facing environments that require persistence, curiosity, and strong business acumen. You are comfortable engaging both business and technical stakeholders, uncovering customer challenges, and connecting technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.
You have experience managing multiple opportunities simultaneously, creating urgency throughout the sales cycle, and moving deals efficiently from initial engagement to close. You are energized by building pipeline, opening new accounts, and operating with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
Experience supporting new product introductions, emerging business units, startup environments, or early-stage go-to-market motions is highly desirable. Startup or high-growth company experience is a strong plus, particularly in environments where adaptability, resourcefulness, and a bias toward action are critical to success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling software, SaaS, cloud, data, analytics, AI, or platform technologies
Demonstrated success acquiring net-new customers
Experience selling into mid-market or commercial accounts
Ability to engage both technical and business decision makers
Experience working in high-growth, startup, or entrepreneurial environments is a plus
Familiarity with consumption-based business models is preferred
