Overview:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, process improvement, operations engineering, or production environments.
This position is focused on supporting manufacturing operations while driving industrial engineering initiatives, process improvements, manufacturing readiness activities, and operational excellence projects.
The role will contribute to manufacturing optimization efforts, capacity improvements, new product introduction activities, and process standardization initiatives across production operations.
The engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance, support growth initiatives, and drive continuous improvement projects.
This position requires a proactive engineer with strong manufacturing knowledge, the ability to quickly adapt to new environments, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading projects, influencing cross-functional teams, and identifying opportunities to improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations & Process Improvement
Support manufacturing operations through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and throughput
Develop and implement process improvements that support operational excellence objectives
Standardize manufacturing processes and best practices across operations where applicable
Drive waste reduction and manufacturing efficiency improvements
Industrial Engineering & Capacity Optimization
Analyze production workflows, labor utilization, material flow, and operational performance
Support capacity planning and resource optimization initiatives
Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve production flow
Support facility layout improvements and operational efficiency projects
Utilize manufacturing and operational data to support decision-making and performance improvements
New Product Introduction & Product Transfers
Support manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions
Participate in proto@type, pilot, and production launch activities
Assist with implementation of manufacturing processes for new products
Support product transfer projects between manufacturing locations when required
Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure manufacturing requirements are successfully implemented
Capital & Growth Projects
Support capital equipment and operational improvement projects
Participate in equipment implementation, process upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives
Assist in evaluating manufacturing technologies, equipment, and process improvement opportunities
Support business growth initiatives through capacity expansion and operational readiness activities
Contribute to project planning, execution, and performance tracking
Problem Solving & Manufacturing Support
Provide hands-on support for manufacturing and operational challenges
Lead and participate in structured root cause investigations
Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance
Collaborate with production teams to address recurring manufacturing issues
Support manufacturing teams in achieving production and operational objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
Communicate technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Support project execution through effective stakeholder engagement and teamwork
Build strong working relationships across multiple functions and organizational levels
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and improvement opportunities

Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations engineering, or process improvement roles
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience driving process improvement, operational efficiency, or continuous improvement initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly understand manufacturing processes, products, and operational challenges
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting manufacturing projects from planning through implementation
Good to Have:
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI / NPDI)
Experience supporting product transfers between manufacturing facilities
Lean Manufacturing experience
Six Sigma certification or training
Experience with capacity planning and manufacturing readiness activities
Experience supporting capital equipment or CAPEX projects
Experience in high-mix manufacturing environments
Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment, Electronics, Data Center Infrastructure, or similar manufacturing experience
