Description
SAIC is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program at Point Mugu, California including support equipment and simulators.
Job Duties:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software
Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting
End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs
Ensures software standards are met
Qualifications
Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; master's degree and three (3) years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Experience with Wind River VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity
Must have C# and C++ experience
Must have SQL database development experience
Must have the ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers
Must have the ability to work independently
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; Interim clearance is required to start
Preferred Skills:
Prefer EW, embedded systems and VxWorks experience but not mandatory
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
