Maintenance Worker - Class 4

he City of Cut Bank, Montana, is looking to hire a full time Class 4 Maintenance Worker.

The Class 4 Maintenance Worker will perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, construction and maintenance of streets, sewers, water lines, parks, municipal buildings, and collection of refuse. The work varies and is subject to close supervision.
Qualifications:
Must have or be able to obtain a Montana commercial driver's license within one year.
Work in undesirable physical conditions of pollution, heat, cold and dampness
Physical work requiring lifting of up to 75 pounds (greater with assistance), bending, stooping, crawling, climbing and walking.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
May be subject to on call assignments
Performs work primarily that of a laborer
May operate various @types of equipment, including mowers and trucks
Manual labor in the maintenance, repair and minor construction of streets, alleys, water and sewer distribution, water plant, parks, sprinkler systems, water service lines, street signs, building maintenance and related facilities.
May perform janitorial tasks around plants and other public facilities
Check tires, oil, lubricant, water, and fuel of assigned equipment, maintains grounds in parks and other public buildings
Reads water meters
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or Equivalent
Some work experience is helpful
CDL with appropriate endorsements within one (1) year of appointment
Hours: Full - Time
Wage: $20 to $25.02/hour depending on Experience
Benefits: Retirement, health insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and sick leave. You will also receive a family membership to our Civic Center and Swimming Pool.
