Job Description:

L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions (IVS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Londonderry, NH. In this role, you will contribute to the end to end development, integration, and transition to production of advanced soldier borne and platform mounted sensing systems. IVS products include aiming lasers, laser range finders, low light and fused sensor systems, mobility sensors, and other ruggedized integrated vision technologies supporting warfighter overmatch.

This position provides hands on engineering engagement, technical leadership, and cross disciplinary collaboration. You will work closely with optical, sensor, mechanical, electrical, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to design and deliver products that move from concept to proto@type to full-rate production. We are looking for versatile engineers who thrive in a fast paced environment and are excited by problem solving, innovation, and enabling mission success.

Essential Functions:

Perform engineering trade studies and analysis on existing and emerging IVS product technologies.

Translate customer and system requirements into architectures, design concepts, and interface definitions.

Provide systems engineering guidance across multidisciplinary teams (sensors, optics, mechanics, firmware, electronics).

Develop and maintain system-level specifications, requirements, and verification methods.

Conduct hands-on system build, integration, debugging, and performance testing.

Lead technical problem solving throughout proto@type development and production transition.

Support technical risk management, configuration management, and requirements traceability activities.

Collaborate with program management, operations, and manufacturing engineering to ensure smooth production ramp and sustainment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Working experience integrating and troubleshooting hardware/software systems

Preferred Additional Skills:

Proven ability to communicate technical concepts and requirements across multidisciplinary teams

Working knowledge of system engineering processes including requirements development, verification planning, and technical risk management

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and within small, collaborative technical teams.

Experience developing military or ruggedized products, soldier systems, or EO/IR sensors.

Familiarity with modeling, analysis, or simulation of electro optical systems is a plus.
