As a subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company with growth opportunity, we are hiring for a sales leader who be an essential part of taking the team to the next level!

Region: Generally encompasses from the middle of Nebraska (Kearney area) to Cheyenne which includes the corresponding parts of South Dakota, Kansas, Eastern Colorado and Eastern Wyoming. The ideal candidate will live within this region.

Position Purpose: Responsible for the region's overall sales activities to ensure volume, margin and profit objectives are met. Directs the region's sales efforts by managing and coordinating related activities with District Sales Managers (DSM). Responsible for overall sales personnel hiring, training, development, evaluation and retention in the region. Responsible for overall sales budget and sales expense control of region. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Major Functional Responsibilities:

Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.

Training may include selling techniques, time management skills, organizational know-how and all other skills necessary for successful execution of the region and company's plans.

Provides clear leadership related to region's sales activities via effective and efficient sales management, coaching/training, communication and visibility in the market. Responsible for the regional sales budgets and actively participates in all regional level pricing decisions; also responsible for sales profit margin and expense control of the region.

Responsible for complete analysis of regional business and trends, including financial, market and competitive activity. Must also effectively communicate customer needs to the organization. Develops quarterly action plans with DSMs to ensure proper focus and actions exist relative to regional, market and local goals. Execute corporate sales strategies and marketing plans. Develop long-term strategies and plans for the region with VP, Sales and Marketing.

Responsible for developing local promotional activities in the region. Work with DSMs, division merchandizers and local brokers/manufacturer reps to establish local and regional deals, and promotions and incentives.

Conducts regular market/customer visits in order to identify market shifts, personnel performance issues and business potential.

Responsible for sales calls with region VP's, Regional Accounts and other key account contacts.

Works closely with senior management to maximize profit opportunities for the region. Fosters environment of teamwork and cooperation with operations and merchandizing associates.

Conducts regular regional sales meetings to promote and enhance clear communication and direction. Establishes and maintains relationships with Broker/Manufacturer community in the region to include regular meetings to promote and enhance clear communication and direction.

Education/Training/Experience:

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field

5 years related experience required

6 months supervisory or management experience required

Required Qualifications:

Sales / sales management or field operation with vending or foodservice industry.

Team lead or supervisor experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Driver's License

Travel Requirements:

Estimated 75% of the time

This position manages team members both directly and indirectly

Problem/Task resolution timeframe: Inclusive of shorter timeframes, but typically six to twelve months or more to resolve.

Level of Supervision Received

Uses policies and general objectives with little functional guidance. Rarely refers specific cases to manager unless clarification or interpretation of organization policies is involved.

Failure to obtain results or erroneous judgments or recommendations would normally have serious results and may require substantial expenditure of resources to correct and/or achieve goals.

Contact with Others

Represents the organization as the primary contact. Interacts with management and senior value-chain partners on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
