Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Blue Grass Army Depot, Kentucky, and serves as a General Supply Specialist responsible for supply and inventory operations. Responsibilities Manages SOF inventory by maintaining accountability, processing transactions, and resolving inventory discrepancies. Coordinates the receipt, storage, and shipment of Special Operations Forces (SOF) materials to meet mission requirements. Coordinates procurement support by reviewing contracts, verifying incoming materials, and ensuring supplies meet contract requirements before receipt or shipment. Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing supply operations, maintaining inventory accountability, processing supply transactions, and coordinating logistics support using established supply procedures and automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 Year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
