Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description
This role supports a busy manufacturing facility by handling materials throughout the warehouse, including picking, stocking, receiving, and inventory control. The Warehouse Associate ensures accurate movement and tracking of materials using pallet jacks, RF scanners, and computer-based inventory systems while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Pick materials that are scheduled to be sent out, ensuring accuracy in item selection and quantities.
Stock finished materials from production into designated warehouse locations in an organized and timely manner.
Receive incoming shipments from freight trucks and other facilities, verifying counts and inspecting materials for accuracy.
Use pallet jacks to safely move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
Operate an inventory control system, including spreadsheets and ERP tools, to track material movement and maintain accurate records.
Use RF scanning equipment to scan and track inventory, ensuring real-time updates to the system.
Label materials clearly and accurately to support proper identification, storage, and shipping.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area while following all warehouse and facility procedures.
Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly as part of daily warehouse activities.
Essential Skills
Previous experience working in an environment that involves inventory handling and control.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft applications.
Familiarity with inventory processes such as picking, packing, stocking, and general warehouse labor.
Comfort using or learning inventory control systems, including spreadsheets and ERP tools.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, counting, and tracking of materials.
Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience operating a pallet jack in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Prior shipping and receiving experience, including handling freight and coordinating incoming and outgoing materials.
Experience with RF scanning equipment for inventory tracking.
Packaging experience, including preparing materials for shipment.
General labor experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing warehouse environment on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work around production areas, storage racks, and shipping/receiving docks, regularly handling materials and operating pallet jacks and RF scanners. The role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the day. You will use computers with Microsoft applications and inventory systems as part of your daily work. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork while maintaining a steady, full-time daytime schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
