Kelly Services is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician II for a direct-hire opportunity in a large manufacturing facility in Waukesha, WI.

This is a hands-on, advanced maintenance role where you'll independently troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial equipment . You'll also have opportunities to fabricate components, modify machinery, improve equipment reliability, and solve problems even when documentation is limited.

What You'll Be Doing
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician II, you'll help keep production equipment, plant utilities, and facility systems operating safely and reliably.
You'll independently diagnose problems, perform repairs, and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Your day may include:
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical production equipment
Diagnosing hydraulic and pneumatic system failures
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
Repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment
Troubleshooting equipment even when drawings or documentation are incomplete
Planning and completing equipment modifications and retrofits
Replacing or upgrading components to improve reliability and functionality
Setting up and operating common machine shop equipment
Performing precision equipment adjustments and alignments
Using precision measuring instruments
Fabricating replacement parts, brackets, guards, and other components
Performing welding and fabrication as needed
Rigging, moving, loading, unloading, and installing machinery
Maintaining plant utilities and supporting facility-related repairs
Working from work orders, drawings, schematics, sketches, and equipment manuals
Using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment
Following proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Keeping tools, equipment, and workspaces organized and safe

What We're Looking For
This could be a strong fit if you have:
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a technical diploma
OR
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with formal technical training

More Than Repair Work
This is a Level II maintenance position , so you'll be expected to do more than replace failed components.
You'll have opportunities to:
Determine the root cause of equipment problems
Develop solutions when documentation is incomplete
Retrofit existing machinery with improved components
Participate in the planning of equipment modifications
Improve equipment reliability and functionality
Work independently with limited supervision
Partner with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams
Physical & Work Environment
This is an active industrial maintenance position in a large manufacturing facility.
Candidates should be comfortable:
Standing and walking for extended periods
Climbing, balancing, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying
Working in tight or difficult positions when equipment repairs require it
Performing overhead work, including repairs to cranes
Working at heights ranging up to approximately 70 feet
Occasionally working on rooftops
Working in environments that may be wet, oily, dirty, hot, or cold
Occasionally performing outdoor maintenance work
Handling moderate to heavy materials, with mechanical lifting assistance available when required
Following all required PPE and LOTO safety procedures
