The Role

As a Lead Foreman/Assistant Superintendent at H5, you run the day-to-day work of your crew directing labor, sequencing tasks, and holding the line on quality and safety on the ground. This is a working field lead position. On larger or more complex projects, you work under a Superintendent, executing their plan and feeding field conditions back up. On smaller, more straightforward projects, you may run the job directly, reporting to the PM. Either way, you do not own the commercial outcome. You do not manage change orders or client relationships. You own the work in front of you.

Daily execution of your crew's work, task sequencing, and hands-on quality and safety Hands in the work, eyes on the crew running tasks while the Superintendent or PM runs the job Commercial outcomes, client communication, subcontract buyout, or the overall project schedule Your scope sequenced correctly, your crew productive and safe, and no surprises passed up the chain

You own your crew and your scope, not the whole job the Superintendent (or PM, on smaller projects) sets the plan and you execute it, keeping them informed.

What Youll Do

Lead the Crew

Direct your crew's daily tasks: assign work, sequence activities, and keep production moving within your scope.

On assigned projects, run day-to-day field operations directly sequencing trades, managing manpower, and reporting to the superintendent or PM.

Track productivity, quantities, and progress within your area of responsibility.

Coordinate material and equipment needs for your crew so work doesn't stall.

Support the Superintendent

Execute the Superintendent's daily plan and schedule carry out the sequencing and logistics calls they make.

Step in to run the field in the Superintendent's absence, within your authority.

Feed field conditions, progress, and constraints back to the Superintendent so they can plan ahead.

Help maintain the 3-week lookahead by reporting manpower needs and constraints in your scope.

Assist the superintendent in daily reports and required field documentation.

Lead Safety Without Exception

Lead toolbox talks and daily safety checks for your crew; enforce jobsite rules and address haza
