Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description
This role leads the launch and ongoing operations of a brand-new facility in Westfield, IN, focused on receiving, storing, and managing related industrial components. The Operations Manager will be the first onsite employee and will build the operation from the ground up, including designing the facility layout, establishing processes, hiring and developing the team, and driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in a heavy equipment or industrial service environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of a new facility focused on receiving, storing, and managing forklift attachments and related industrial components.
Design and implement efficient workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures to support safe and effective operations.
Read and interpret blueprints to design an effective layout for the warehouse and production floor, optimizing material flow and space utilization.
Ensure proper maintenance, safe operation, and effective utilization of all equipment and the overall facility.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all operations by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor efficiency, productivity, and service performance, and use data to guide decision-making.
Identify opportunities to expand capabilities over time, including repair and refurbishment of incoming components and potential future paint and assembly operations.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team to support growing operational needs.
Create staffing plans, build schedules, and manage labor resources based on operational demand and business priorities.
Build and reinforce a strong culture centered around accountability, safety, quality, and performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Experience in environments related to heavy equipment, construction equipment, material handling, forklift, industrial machinery, equipment rental, or manufacturing.
Familiarity with operations in a service, warehouse, or shop setting.
Comfort working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial role where processes and systems are built from the ground up.
Project management skills to coordinate facility setup, process implementation, and capability expansion.
Ability to design and refine workflows and standard operating procedures in a growing operation.

Work Environment
Work takes place located within a manufacturing and warehouse facility. The environment combines administrative duties with frequent interaction on the warehouse and production floor around large mechanical components and industrial equipment. Standard hours are 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed based on operational demand. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, organization, and efficiency, with a culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
