Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling a variety of electrical products, ranging from simple electrical cords to more complex mobile generator systems. You will use basic hand tools and follow detailed instructions to complete point-to-point wiring and related assembly tasks with a high level of accuracy and care.
Responsibilities
Assemble electrical products, including electrical cords and mobile generator systems, according to specifications and work instructions.
Perform point-to-point wiring, ensuring correct connections and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Strip wires accurately and safely using appropriate tools and techniques.
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives to complete assembly tasks.
Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper function before moving items to the next stage.
Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals while maintaining high quality standards.
Collaborate with the assembly supervisor and team members to resolve issues and improve assembly processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company guidelines.
Demonstrate reliability and flexibility by adapting to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
Continuously learn new assembly procedures and product configurations to support production needs.
Essential Skills
Experience with point-to-point wiring in an assembly or production environment.
Ability to strip wires safely and accurately.
Hands-on experience using basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring and assembly.
Reliability and consistency in attendance and work performance.
Flexibility to handle different products and tasks as production needs change.
Positive personality and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and assembly processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in electrical assembly or production is beneficial.
Comfort working with electrical components and wiring.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic understanding of measurement using a tape measure.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift or second- shift position with working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. You will work in a production setting focused on assembling electrical products, using common hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape measures, wire strippers, and utility knives. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork, with clear guidance from an assembly supervisor and collaboration with other assembly team members.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.70/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
