Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Continuously monitor pool, water slide, splash pad, lazy river, and other aquatic areas.

· Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

· Perform water rescues and provide first aid, CPR, and AED assistance when necessary.

· Enforce all water park rules, safety regulations, and hotel policies consistently and professionally.

· Identify hazardous conditions and immediately take corrective action or report concerns to management.

· Conduct routine safety inspections of aquatic facilities and equipment.

· Provide friendly, professional, and welcoming service to hotel guests.

· Answer guest questions regarding water park operations, rules, and amenities.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool decks, seating areas, and aquatic attractions.

· Assist with opening and closing procedures for aquatic facilities.

· Complete required incident reports, inspection logs, and operational documentation accurately and timely.

· Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and emergency drills.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum age of 16 years old

· Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or equivalent.

· Current CPR/AED Certification for Professional Rescuers.

· Current First Aid Certification.

· Ability to successfully complete hotel and department training programs.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous lifeguarding experience.

· Experience working in a hotel, resort, water park, recreation center, or aquatic facility.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to swim continuously and meet all certification requirements.

· Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to perform emergency rescues and render emergency care when required.

Work Environment

· Indoor and/or outdoor water park setting.

· Exposure to chlorinated water, cleaning chemicals, humidity, and varying temperatures.

· Requires weekend, holiday, evening, and peak-season availability.
