Objective of Position :
The Credit Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the maintenance and accuracy of data reported under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). This includes, but is not limited to, loans originated or purchased by the bank. This role monitors loan activities to ensure compliance with Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), including the timely delivery of required notices such as the Notice of Right to Receive a Copy of Appraisal and the Joint Intent Notice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts reviews of nCino generated reports with CRA Small Loans, CDL and other applicable loan portfolios on a weekly and quarterly basis.
Reviews and inputs Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data using information from loan presentations and Form 1919, ensuring same-business-day entry upon receipt of nCino notifications.
Confirms the loan is in the CRA Database and that the entry is complete and accurate.
Identifies data discrepancies and communicates findings to credit analysts and lending officers; collaborates to resolve issues and track all corrections, provides monthly reporting to the appropriate stakeholders.
Performs monthly monitoring of loan activity by generating a loan tracker report from nCino to ensure loans with an application date approaching 30 days without closure have a valid reason and appropriate documentation.
Run the loan tracker report from nCino of all non-originated (Withdrawn/Approved Not Accepted/Denied/Closed for Incompleteness) loans and reviews each loan at the end of the month.
Ensures non-originated loans are properly documented in nCino, including proper checklists, necessary documentation, and tracking logs with detailed loan information.
Assists the Compliance Department with performing ongoing CRA training workshops.
Serves as a resource to the lending teams by addressing compliance related questions and communicating updates to regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
Assists in delivering individual on-going training with the lending staff, as needed.
Supports the response to audit requests received by both internal and external auditors.
Assists in communicating audit findings to the lending staff and prepares responses with corrective actions.
Communicates updates to policies and procedures to all lending units, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of Credit Compliance experience at a financial institution.
Knowledge of government guaranteed lending products (SBA 7(a), SBA 504 & USDA B&I Loan Programs).
Formal credit training.
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
Be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
Have strong change management, organizational and planning capabilities.
Ability to identify, understand and define problems, evaluate alternatives, set priorities, manage projects and implement high quality solutions.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to directly manage and communicate multiple projects and priorities depending on organizational needs and strategies.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The hourly rate for this position is $21.63 to $26.92 +incentive.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
